Five details to prepare before sharing a 1688 product link

A product link is sufficient to begin an inquiry. Including the selected options, order quantity and sales channel helps clarify the initial discussion.

1688 is a wholesale platform primarily serving the Chinese domestic market. Sharing a product listing is a useful starting point for a purchase inquiry. However, options and packaging units may vary within one listing, and the displayed price may not reflect the actual purchase conditions. A link alone is therefore not sufficient to confirm a quotation.

1. The exact product options

Specify the color, size, material and quantity per unit or set. The price should be confirmed for the option you intend to purchase, rather than the headline price in the listing.

2. The initial order quantity

Distinguish your required quantity from the supplier's minimum order quantity. Confirm whether colors or options can be combined within an order.

3. The sales channel in Korea

Packaging and labeling requirements may differ between Naver Smart Store, Coupang and offline wholesale or retail channels.

4. The target cost and budget

Assess the estimated landed cost, not only the product price. Review domestic freight in China, international freight, customs duties, import VAT, clearance charges, delivery in Korea and service fees separately. Duty rates and import requirements depend on the product and the rules in effect. The quotation identifies the confirmed scope and costs.

5. The required arrival date

Allow for production, domestic transit in China, international freight and customs clearance. Indicate any event or seasonal deadline at the outset.

Purchasing an existing product through 1688 is suitable when the product has already been identified. Send the link together with these five details so that the team can review supplier terms and outstanding questions.
